Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) announced he will be hosting his annual Car Seat Safety Check event on Friday, May 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Cure of Ars Church in Merrick. Parents are encouraged to stop by and get a free inspection of their child’s car seat to ensure it meets safety and quality standards.

“I look forward to this event every year because it is so important that we keep our children safe,” McDonough said. “Car seat and passenger safety technology is constantly evolving, and it is paramount to keep families informed on what requirements are necessary to keep their children safe while traveling. I encourage everyone who is able to stop by for a free check up on May 17.”
