McDonough Provides Child Safety Booklets
Assemblyman David G. McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) left, was joined by Sen. Charles J. Fuschillo as both legislators visited the children of Twin Oaks Country Day School in Freeport. Assemblyman McDonough and Sen. Fuschillo visited the school to distribute Child Identification booklets for parents.
"It is my hope that a parent is never in a situation where it is necessary to use the information in these booklets, but it is necessary to be prepared," said Assemblyman McDonough. "I urge parents, grandparents or guardians to contact my office and obtain a booklet for each of their children."
The free booklets enable parents to keep all of their child’s important information conveniently in one document. The ease of access to vital information can then be released in a timely manner to the proper authorities in case of an emergency.
The booklets allow parents to organize a detailed identification record of their child. Spaces are provided for such information as:
- A hair sample that contains a child’s DNA.
- A recent photo of the child.
- An area to record the child’s fingerprints.
- A dental record section that a child’s dentist can fill out.
- A section for noting any identifying marks, such as birthmarks or scars.
To obtain a copy of this important booklet, please contact Assemblyman David G. McDonough at (516) 731-8830 or via e-mail at mcdond@assembly.state.ny.us. To request a booklet from Sen. Fuschillo, call (516) 546-4100.
