- December 31, 2024 – With fellow officials at the start of demolition of the old group of IBM buildings to make way for new development. It was a bittersweet moment.
- December 3, 2024 – Joined County Executive Jason Garnar and CCE Broome Director Beth Roberts at Chalker Creek Farms to promote buying local when purchasing a tree this year. NYS is home to 875 Christmas Tree Farms, with 13 locally.
- December 2, 2024 – Gearing up for the 5th annual Holiday Giving Box initiative!
- November 26, 2024 – Posing with the winners of the 2024 Thanksgiving Food Challenge. Together we brought in over 21,000 meals for the community.
- November 20, 2024 – At the ribbon cutting for Family & Children’s Counseling Services newly opened expansion on Main Street in Binghamton. This long-awaited project will fill a critical need for mental health and addiction services.
- November 19, 2024 – With my Communications Director Christina Fuller after the Binghamton Move Out Project was announced as the Chamber of Commerce’s 2024 Community Advocate of the Year. She founded the project while in college.
- November 18, 2024 – With Senator Gillibrand at Binghamton University to promote the Cyber Security Academy that she advanced.
- November 15, 2024 – Mayor Marty Meaney and I were pleased to accept the 2024 Preservation Association of the Southern Tier Historic Preservation Award for the restoration of the Endicott-Johnson Pump House Pagoda that we worked on several years ago. A special thank you to Mayor Greg Deemie for all of the work he put in.
- November 14, 2024 – With my government and University partners kicking off the 2024 Thanksgiving Food Challenge to bring in food donations for CHOW ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.
- November 12, 2024 – A plaque was unveiled acknowledging my work to help transform the Carnegie Library into SUNY Broome’s Culinary & Event Center. I was honored to receive this recognition.
- November 11, 2024 – Spent time in Endicott and Binghamton for Veterans Day honoring the men and women who have served in the military.
- November 8, 2024 – With Community Energy Advisor Kate Harasta at the Winter Resource Fair hosted by CCE’s Smart Energy Choices.
- September 4, 2024 – With Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie at the United Way of Broome County to announce that they will be receiving a $1M Assembly grant to expand the 211 Regional Call Center, and make other improvements to their main building.
- August 30, 2024 – At the annual Gusto Italian Fest in Endicott; one of my favorite events of the year.
- August 29, 2024 – My staff and I volunteered to run the Assembly booth in the Center of Progress at the Great New York State Fair.
- August 28, 2024 – Celebrated Women’s Day at the NYS Fair where I attended an awards ceremony for Women in Agriculture. Congratulations to Dr. Rangarajan and Dr. Smart.
- August 28, 2024 – A celebratory toast at the NYS Fair in honor of the recent signing by Governor Kathy Hochul of the Direct-to-Consumer shipping legislation that I sponsored.
- August 24, 2024 – After speaking at the Science & Climate Festival about what Project 2025 has to say about climate change.
- August 23, 2024 – Speaking at the annual flag raising ceremony ahead of Ukrainian Independence Day.
- August 17, 2024 – At Truth Pharm’s annual Trail of Truth. Every year there are more memorial tombstones for loved ones lost to substance use.
- August 7, 2024 – Senator Webb and I announced that for the first time in 15 years, NY’s cities, towns, and villages will receive an increase in their AIM funding; funds that are unrestricted and can be used wherever needed.
- August 6, 2024 – With Mayor Burlingame and leaders of the Endicott Fire Department to unveil the new rescue boats, turn-out gear, “jaws of life” and other equipment they purchased with a $250K Assembly grant.
- August 5, 2024 – At the Spiedie Fest where Senator Webb and I presented the founders with a Legislative Resolution recognizing the event’s 40th anniversary.
- August 3, 2024 – Enjoying myself at IBEW Local 325’s annual clambake.
- July 31, 2024 – With VINES and Field & Fork Network announcing their new partnership to expand Double Up Food Bucks through VINES Farm Share.
- July 31, 2024 – At VINES’ Binghamton Urban Farm speaking with youth in the Grow Binghamton Program about my time as a State Legislator.
- July 30, 2024 – With Commissioner Ball, Senator Webb and Assemblymember Kelles to announce that $19.5M was included in this year’s state budget for a major expansion of the Animal Health Diagnostic Center at Cornell.
- July 29, 2024 – At the ribbon cutting for the new Dave & Buster’s at Oakdale Commons in Johnson City.
- July 28, 2024 – I spent time at the 149th annual Broome County Fair visiting some of the prize winners and enjoying the 4-H displays.
- July 26, 2024 – With Speaker Heastie at the Bay Eden Senior Center for a cooking demonstration with GrowNYC. They purchase food from Upstate farmers for the dozens of farmstands they run across the city.
- July 24, 2024 – With Vestal Senior Sneha Poranki and her sister Shruthi at the new Sensory Room at UHS Ideal Senior Living. Sneha created this in pursuit of her Girl Scout Gold Award in honor of her late grandmother who spent time at the facility.
- July 23, 2024 – At Visions HQ in Endwell to talk with their Financial Wellness Interns about the importance of youth advocacy and financial literacy.
- July 21, 2024 – With fellow judges at Pawfest’s canine competition.
- July 18, 2024 – At the Broome County Office of Emergency Services to announce that their Public Safety Radio Network and Mobile Command Unit are fully up in running.
- June 27, 2024 – At the official kick-off of the National Science Foundation: Upstate New York Energy Storage Engine at Binghamton University.
