Albany, NY – Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo (D-Endwell) released the following statement today after Governor Cuomo signed the DNA databank expansion into law.

“Not only will this help fight crime, it will help fight injustice," said Lupardo, who voted for the legislation. “The DNA Databank expansion will ensure that DNA evidence is available to: convict the guilty, avoid wrongful convictions and exonerate wrongfully convicted persons.”
