Assemblyman Doug Smith recently joined with town and county officials in a ceremony commemorating the 27th Anniversary of the federal Americans with Disabilities Act at the Suffolk Independent Living Organization (SILO) in Holtsville.

Assemblyman Smith said, “Each year we come together at this event in commemoration of the Americans with Disabilities Act. A monumental legislative accomplishment, the ADA helps to ensure all individuals have equal accessibility and opportunities in our society. I want to especially thank the board and all of the volunteers here at SILO for their continued hard work and advocacy for people with disabilities across the state of New York.”
