Flood Presents Official Proclamation to Suffolk County Marine Veteran
Assemblyman Ed Flood (R,C-Port Jefferson) presented an official Assembly proclamation today to Melanie Corinne, a Marine Corps veteran who served a five-year term as a Levantine Arabic Linguist in the military intelligence field, in honor of her dedication to public service and upholding her commitment to her community.
Melanie dedicated her time to the Joseph P. Dwyer Veterans Peer Support Project as a Coordinator for Suffolk County, and forged unbreakable relationships with other veterans, created a line of trust to help them transition when they return home and helped bridge the gap with other agencies offering services and companion animals for their comfort and healing. She also enjoys connecting with her fellow veterans and helping others and is truly an admirable resident of the community for her bravery.
“It was an honor to present Melanie with a proclamation today to show my appreciation and respect for all of her outstanding accomplishments and services to our community. Our veterans deserve the utmost recognition–their work was not easy either mentally or physically but they put their lives on the line to keep us safe each day. Thank you again Melanie and all our veterans for your bravery and service,” said Flood.
