Braunstein Presents $125,000 Grant to Douglaston/Little Neck Community Library
On September 28, 2016, Assemblyman Edward C. Braunstein (D-Bayside) attended the National Art League Student Art Show at the Douglaston/Little Neck Community Library’s Sylvia E. Weinstein Memorial Youth Art Gallery. During the event, Assemblyman Braunstein announced he was allocating $125,000 to replace the windows and doors at the Douglaston/Little Neck Community Library.
“The Douglaston/Little Neck Community Library has one of the highest circulation rates in the Queens Library system and the building is in need of repair so that its many users are properly served,” said Assemblyman Braunstein. "I am pleased to provide the Douglaston/Little Neck Library with a $125,000 grant for much needed window and door replacement. Additionally, I would like to thank the Friends of Douglaston/Little Neck Library for sponsoring the Art Show and for their outstanding work to improve the library and to stay connected with the community. Congratulations to National Art League of Douglaston teacher Susan Herz and all of the student artists from the Summer Art Program whose work is displayed at the library.”
