State Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr., (I, D, WF-Sag Harbor) today announced that the East End will benefit from the economic development grants recently announced by Governor Cuomo through the Regional Economic Development Councils.
Governor Cuomo announced $709.2 million in grants through the State's 10 Regional Economic Councils. Long Island alone was awarded $81.9 million. Thiele stated that there are a number of projects that the 1st Assembly District will benefit from, including:

Thiele explained, "These economic development grants represent a major commitment by the State of New York to take the lead in creating jobs and improving the economy.
