Final 2018 State Budget Provides a $914 Million Increase in Aid to Education
State Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr. (I, D, WF, WE-Sag Harbor) today reported that the 2018 State Budget will provide a $914 million increase in State Aid to Education, including a $618 million increase in Foundation Aid as part of the final 2017 State Budget. The State Aid to Education plan represents a 3.6% increase from 2017 and a 36% increase since 2012. The final State budget provides a total of $26.6 billion in state aid for the State’s more than 700 school districts.
