Peconic Bay Community Preservation Fund Revenues are $158.88 Million for First Three Quarters of 2021 Compared with $84.68 Million in 2020
Revenues are 87.6% higher than last year; Cumulative CPF revenues total $1.759 billion
Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr. (I-Sag Harbor) today reported that 2021 revenues for the Peconic Bay Community Preservation Fund (CPF) for the first three quarters were $158.88 million or 87.6% percent MORE than last year. A year ago, $84.68 million was collected for the same period. September 2021 revenues totaled $14.14 million. CPF revenues for the same month last year were $12.42 million.
Since its inception in 1999, the Peconic Bay Regional Community Preservation Fund has generated $1.759 billion. The CPF has generated $213.62 million in the last 12 months.
“Revenues for the CPF in September 2021 are higher than a year ago. This marks the 14th straight month that revenues have exceeded $10 million. However, the last two months reflect a reduction in revenue compared to the monthly totals for the last 12 months. It had been recently reported by many in the real estate industry that because of declining inventory and rising prices, new contract activity had slowed over the summer from pandemic highs. This is reflected in the revenue numbers of the last two months, but still represents a high level of real estate activity across the East End.”
