For Mother’s Day Remember Mammography Saves Lives
Assemblymember Harry B. Bronson today joins with local and statewide health care organizations in their annual Mother’s Day campaign to urge women to get mammograms.
“Mother’s Day is a significant time to not only remember the women in our lives, but also to remind them of the importance of mammograms,” said Assemblymember Harry B. Bronson. “It is my hope that this Mother’s Day women will take the time to make an appointment for this vital screening procedure. While many women know they need to schedule a mammogram, Mother’s Day brings a heighten awareness ensuring women receive preventive screening.”
Highland Breast Imaging in conjunction with the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester and the Cancer Services Program of Monroe County are offering free mammograms to women 40 and older, who do not have health insurance, or whose health insurance does not cover mammograms. Highland Breast Imaging is located at 500 Red Creek Drive, Suite 130, Rochester 14623 and they will be doing the screening Saturday, May 14th from 8:00 A.M. until noon. You can call Highland Breast Imaging at 487-3300 to make an appointment in advance, or if you cannot make the screening day you may schedule a screening for a different day.
