Assemblymember Harry B. Bronson (D-Rochester/Chili/Henrietta) announced he will be partnering with local senior centers to host a "Holiday Helping Hand Drive" to help children in need. The program will provide elementary school children with the school supplies they need to continue having a productive learning experience for the rest of the school year.
"At a time when schooling is becoming more rigorous and demanding on children, it is important that they have everything they need to succeed." Assemblyman Bronson said. "As the community rallies around this great cause, I think we will do a lot of good for the education of local kids. This is a great opportunity for one generation to lend a helping hand to another."
Assemblymember Bronson announced the collections will take place from Dec. 2-20 at four local drop-off points:
840 University Ave.
Rochester, NY 14607
259 Monroe Avenue
Rochester, NY 14607
3235 Chili Ave. #2
Rochester, NY 14624
515 Calkins Road
Rochester, NY 14623
Assemblymember Bronson will be collecting paper, pencils, notebooks, folders, crayons, and other supplies, including new gloves, scarves and hats for kids in need of warm clothes.
