Assemblyman Bronson: Assembly Budget Proposal Highlights the Importance of Higher Education
March 11, 2016
“The Assembly budget proposal reflects my commitment to public higher education. Our proposal rejects the SUNY 2020 proposal to raise SUNY tuition, and instead freezes tuition for the next two years. The proposal also provides state institutions with additional support, including $819 million in capital assistance.
“At a time when students are saddled with debt, we should do everything we can to make sure a SUNY education remains a viable path to a college degree for New York families. The biggest economic boost for Rochester’s economy is an educated class of young professionals who will put their education to work at all levels of our workforce.”
