“I helped pass legislation to strip the pensions of corrupt public officials convicted of a felony because we must have zero tolerance for this type of behavior.

“While we have taken steps to strengthen our ethics laws, this legislation makes it very clear that crooked politicians can and will be held responsible when they abuse their office for personal gain.”
