Gallahan Secures $50k Grant for South Hill Rd Resurfacing in Town of Bristol
Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan (R,C-Manchester) is announcing a $50,000 Multi-Modal grant he secured for the Town of Bristol that will enable it to finish surfacing the last two miles of South Hill Road. This much-needed surfacing will provide better access to local communication towers and alleviate stress and damage to cars.
“We depend on quality roads in our communities to get us to our destinations safely. I am proud that I was able to secure this grant for the Town of Bristol,” said Gallahan. “This project will be great for residents and visitors who drive this stretch of South Hill Road. The surfacing of this road has been long overdue, and I thank Supervisor Bob Green for his tenacity in getting this project completed for the residents of Bristol.”
“The paving of South Hill Road will be a great benefit to our community,” said Bob Green, Bristol Town Supervisor. “This road has been an issue for some time now, and it causes extensive wear and tear on vehicles, including our town snowplows. I am eager to finish paving this road for the Bristol residents. I thank Assemblyman Gallahan for securing these funds for us to help bring this project to fruition.”
