Gallahan Receives Civil Air Patrol Certification

Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan (R,C-Manchester) has joined the Legislative Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol. Assemblyman Gallahan was presented with his official Civil Air Patrol ID Card and membership certificate last week on Thursday, May 19.

The Civil Air Patrol was established in 1941 and is the official auxiliary to the U.S. Air Force and thereby is a member of its Total Force. Their mission is to serve our community, save lives and shape futures through volunteering. The Civil Air Patrol has assisted in search missions, disaster relief and protecting the homeland. They also work to promote aviation and its related fields through STEM and aerospace with their CAP cadet program.

“The Civil Air Patrol is a tremendous volunteer organization that’s ready and willing to serve our community,” said Gallahan. “Helping our community through volunteerism and supporting our servicemen and women is very important to me. I am proud to be joining the Civil Air Patrol’s Legislative Squadron.”

“New York Wing is honored to welcome Assemblyman Gallahan to our State Legislative Squadron,” said New York Wing Commander Colonel John Jones. “We are grateful for his support and for the support of our other Legislative members.”
