Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan (R,C-Manchester) introduced a resolution on the New Yorkstate Assembly floor yesterday afternoon commending the achievements of the Hobart Men’s Ice Hockey Team, which won the NCAA Division III National Championship. The dedication and athletic success of the Hobart and William Smith Colleges has reached a level worthy of recognition at the national level with their Division III program finishing the 2022-2023 season with a 29-2 record.

“I am very proud of the hard work and determination shown by these young men and other student athletes across the state,” said Gallahan. “The Hobart Men’s Ice Hockey Team has built up a respected reputation with their unwillingness to throw in the towel during challenging games and their incredible teamwork. They have very skilled skaters who created a formidable offensive force and a strong defense that kept goals scored against them to a minimum. I look forward to their continued success in the next season.”
