“After unveiling a $233 billion state budget, Gov. Hochul went on to brush aside the needs of our hard-working New York families by placing undocumented migrants, once again, at the top of her priority list. Despite the budget deficit we are facing, billions will be used to help New York City continue to ‘manage’ the growing illegal migrant crisis—a crisis upstate New York never asked for. The state budget should be used to make New York citizens’ lives easier, curb crime, reduce inflation and help get our state back on track, but that is not what we witnessed during the governor’s presentation today.”
