“Today’s failure by Assembly Majority to rescind the governor’s emergency powers is extremely disheartening, to say the least. After lying to families and lawmakers throughout the state about nursing home fatalities and then working to cover it up, and now facing credible allegations of sexual harassment from three different women, I see no way anyone could reasonably believe the governor can be trusted with emergency powers. We need to hold the governor accountable and do the right thing for New Yorkers, not our own political well-being.”
