Dinowitz Delivers Postal Mailbox at Kepler Avenue and East 237th Street
Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz arranged for the post office to replace the mailbox on the corner of Kepler Avenue and East 237th Street.
The mailbox was removed to make to the curb handicap accessible. But after several weeks, the mailbox was still not replaced, placing a hardship on and inconveniencing many residents in the areas, particularly seniors.
Responding to complaints from constituents, Assemblyman Dinowitz office contacted the postal office. The postal office was made aware of the delay and inconvenience. The postal office replaced the mailbox within several days.
Assemblyman Dinowitz stated "I was pleased to be able help replace the mailbox. The missing mailbox made it difficult for some, especially seniors, to mail their letters. I am not sure why it took the Post Office so long, but I did appreciate the quick response to my complaint."
