Assemblyman Dinowitz’s 2014 Summer Concert Series Concludes in Henry Hudson Park with Classic Jams from the 60s, 70s, and 80s
Bronx, NY – Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz (D-Bronx) joined residents of Riverdale in Henry Hudson Park last night to wrap up his 2014 Summer Concert Series in the Northwest Bronx in a rousing fashion. Over 150 people came out on a beautiful summer evening to hear a fun, energetic performance from the Just Nuts Party Dance Band, who performed classic soul, rock, and pop hits from the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. Last night’s performance concluded a series of six free summer concerts sponsored by Assemblyman Dinowitz and the Bronx Council on the Arts that took place throughout the 81st Assembly district.
Assemblyman Dinowitz said, "It’s been a pleasure working with the Bronx Council on the Arts to support talented local artists and sponsor free musical performances throughout my district. Hundreds upon hundreds of people of all ages came out to listen to jazz, soul, Latin, classic rock, salsa, and more in parks and concert halls in their neighborhood, and I am particularly pleased that we enjoyed perfect weather on each night. Thanks to all who came out – you made this concert series a success.”
