Giglio Partners with Scott’s Pointe Adventure Park for Toy Drive
Assemblywoman Jodi Giglio (R,C-Riverhead) has partnered with newly opened local theme park Scott’s Pointe to run a holiday toy drive for Long Island’s less fortunate youth. The toys will be collected and donated to several children’s hospitals on Long Island for the holiday season.
“Scott’s Pointe is becoming known as a wonderful spot for families to share in fun, so to partner with them and give something back to the children of Long Island feels like a really special opportunity,” Giglio said. “We’re calling on the community to give generously and be rewarded with a day of fun. I’m looking forward to seeing Scott’s Pointe overflowing with people and gifts!”
Donations will be collected at Scott’s Pointe Adventure Park, 5835 Middle Country Rd., Calverton, NY 11933. Guests are asked to donate between 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and in exchange for donations, they will be offered either a free day pass or a free appetizer at Lake View Grill with confirmation of their toy donation. The free pass or appetizer are only able to be used on December 16th within the 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. timeframe. Donations are planned to be distributed to Stonybrook Children’s Hospital, Stonybrook Pediatric Care Center, St. Charles Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House.
“This is a simple effort that will go a long way towards helping a child in need. I encourage anyone who can to give generously,” Giglio concluded.
