Giglio Pushes for Further Disability Care Funding in State Budget
Assemblywoman Jodi Giglio (R,C-Riverhead) is continuing her work in disability advocacy in New York by once again calling on the state to provide more adequate funding to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities and direct service professionals. A steadfast advocate on the issue, Giglio believes New York should prioritize citizens with disabilities.
“New York cannot afford to continue standing by when people that rely on the programs and funding this state offers are being shortchanged; New York should prioritize those with unique abilities, because they are just as important as anyone else in this state,” Giglio said. “I am as committed as ever to ensuring these New Yorkers receive the support they deserve, and I look forward to the ongoing budget negotiations with my colleagues as we work to ensure that funding for New Yorkers with unique abilities is adequate.”
