Giglio: Repaving of NYS Route 25 Accelerated
After several conversations and meetings with The NYSDOT Assemblywoman Jodi Giglio (R,C-Riverhead) is pleased to share with her constituents the acceleration of an upcoming project in the 2nd Assembly District. The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) has announced that the repaving of NYS Route 25 from NYS Route 25A to 500 feet east of Splish Splash Drive/Manor Road has been fast-tracked from 2027 to the summer of 2025. This is a multi-location project, so the actual start date will vary, but this is much earlier than the initial scheduled start. Construction completion for this project is tentatively scheduled for the summer of 2026.
“I am thrilled to report to my constituents and our emergency services personnel about the incredible work our NYSDOT team is doing by prioritizing this essential project. The repaving of Route 25 is not just about improving our roads; it’s about ensuring safer, more efficient transportation for our residents, emergency responders and local businesses. A project of this magnitude being accelerated means fewer delays, less wear on vehicles and a smoother, safer route for everyone who relies on it. I am deeply grateful this is being treated with the urgency it deserves, and I look forward to seeing it completed ahead of schedule,” said Giglio.
