Angelino Applauds New Exemption to Last Years Over Restrictive Firearm Laws

Statement by Assemblyman Joseph Angelino (R,C-Norwich)

“As a member of the Veterans’ Affairs Committee, I am committed to making sure our veterans receive the best care possible. That is why it was so saddening when last year due to the Concealed Carry Improvement Act, Honor Guards could not fire salutes at Veterans Day ceremonies or military funerals on public or private property. Thankfully, due to Minority pressure, Gov. Hochul has announced that Honor Guards and those participating in military funerals, as well as a host of other individuals will be exempt from the law. I am looking forward to seeing our veterans properly honored once again.”
