Angelino Announces Funding to Expand Broadband Services

Today, Assemblyman Joseph Angelino (R,C-Norwich) announced that the town and village of Sherburne and the town of Columbus have received $6.9 million in funding through the ConnectALL Municipal Infrastructure Grant Program. This funding will be used to help expand high-quality broadband to more people in the community.

“I am happy to announce this funding; for far too long our rural communities have been at a disadvantage with the rest of the state in regard to access to high-speed broadband services, and this funding will go a long way to help the people of Sherburne and Columbus catch up to the rest of the state. Families, students and businesses all rely on broadband to operate and thrive, so I am glad to see these services being provided. I know it will make a great impact on all the people in the community,” said Angelino.
