“I am glad to see that the governor’s housing plan that would override local zoning has been defeated.Though this is excellent news for Long Island, and local communities across our state, the fact the final product was a month overdue and the secretive process used to craft the budget, I voted ‘no.’ But, I join with the Nassau County residents I represent in celebrating the end of the governor’s disaster of a housing plan for this session.”
