“Following the results of the independent, non-partisan investigation, I am reigniting my calls for the governor to step down from office. If he refuses, the state Legislature must work swiftly to hold him accountable and remove him from office via impeachment. The breaking of federal and state law, the covering up of nursing home deaths followed by subsequent denial of accountability, and the sexual harassment and discrimination of employees must not be tolerated. The work of Attorney General Letitia James and her team, as well as the brave women who stepped up to hold power accountable, cannot be understated, and I thank them for their sacrifice and hard work.”
