Albany – Local assemblyman John T. McDonald III received 2012-13 committee assignments from Speaker Sheldon Silver.

McDonald will serve on the Aging, Cities, Mental Health, Real Property Tax and Tourism committees.

"I am pleased to have been appointed to the committees by Speaker Silver. It is clear that in my varied background as a former Mayor, a pharmacist and a business owner, that the Speaker took into account the experience I have gained in these various roles to help move the agenda of New York State forward. I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle as I represent my constituents,” said John T. McDonald III, Member of Assembly.
