Members of the State Legislature Honor Bishop Howard Hubbard
ALBANY, N.Y. – Members of the State Legislature who represent the Albany Roman Catholic Diocese presented Bishop Howard Hubbard with a Proclamation honoring his years of service. Bishop Hubbard opened session for the Assembly beginning with an opening prayer. Immediately following, members of the Assembly and Senate presented the Bishop with a Proclamation. Additionally, Assembly Member John T. McDonald III and Senator Neil D. Breslin sponsored resolutions in both houses honoring Bishop Howard Hubbard for his faithful and dedicated years of service to the diocese.
Effective April 10, 2014, Bishop Howard Hubbard will be leaving his position as Bishop of the Albany Roman Catholic Diocese. Under Papal Law, all bishops are required to submit their resignation upon reaching the age of 75. Bishop Hubbard has served more than 36 years as bishop and is currently the longest tenured bishop in the country.
