Giglio Encourages Public To Attend Session On Heat Cost Savings
Local officials, energy experts will answer questions, provide energy conservation tips
Assemblyman Joe Giglio (R,C,I-Gowanda) will host a free informational session on how residents can save money on their home heating costs from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 26, at Olean Middle School, 401 Wayne St.
“In light of rising home heating costs and fuel prices, it is important families and individuals in the Southern Tier receive help to control home heating bills as much as possible,” said Giglio. “That is why I asked local officials and energy experts to be a part of this public heating cost information session.”
Representatives form the Public Service Commission and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority will be present. They will give presentations on topics such as factors that affect energy prices, steps to control heating bills and how to access payment assistance programs. There also will be a question-and-answer period, and information packets will be available to all attendees.
Assemblyman Giglio extends this invitation to this free event to all Southern Tier residents.
