Assemblyman Joe Giglio (R,C,I-Gowanda) today announced that the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is now accepting funding applications for Water Quality Improvement Projects.

“I encourage all interested municipalities in the Southern Tier and throughout New York to apply for this critical funding, and I thank the DEC for such a worthwhile project,” said Giglio. “These Water Quality Projects will help preserve and enhance one of our most essential natural resources and protect them for generations to come.”

Application materials for Water Quality Improvement Projects have been mailed to each municipality in New York. Copies are also available by calling (518) 402-8236 or visiting www.dec.state.ny.us/website/bondact/bamenu.html on DEC’s website. All project applications must be postmarked by March 31, 2006.
