Safari Club Donates Food to Needy Families
Assemblyman Giglio Teams up to Distribute
Assemblyman Joe Giglio (R,I,C-Gowanda) today delivered holiday food baskets prepared by the Safari Club of Western New York to Cattaraugus Community Action for distribution to needy families. The Safari Club of Western New York is a wildlife conservation group.
“The Safari Club has always been community oriented…always ready and willing to help the less fortunate,” said Assemblyman Giglio. “I'm glad they asked me to help them distribute the food in my district.”
“The Safari Club wanted to do its part to ensure needy families have food for the holidays,” said James Nichols, Western New York Safari Club President. “We know how tough this time of year can be and we encourage the public to continue giving throughout the year.”
Cattaraugus Community Action, Inc. is based in Salamanca, Cattaraugus County. The not-for-profit organization provides a community food bank, soup kitchen, homeless shelters, and other targeted programs as part of its mission to help disadvantaged individuals and families throughout the year.
