“With economic turmoil plaguing our state and the cost of living exploding, now is not the time for our state to have a ballooning budget. I have serious concerns about the potential of another budget that dramatically increases government spending. Even though Gov. Hochul highlighted $1.2 billion in tax cuts to the middle class, I’m troubled that having the largest budget in our state’s history will potentially put even greater tax burdens on New Yorkers at every socio-economic level.

“I look forward to working with the Governor and my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to come to a consensus on a common-sense budget that works for all those who call New York home.”
