Assemblyman Josh Jensen (R,C,I-Greece) joined Assembly Members Jake Ashby and Ed Ra and other members of the Assembly Minority Conference to call for additional investments in the 2022-23 State Budget to help support veterans, veterans’ organizations and programs.

They are advocating to invest $250 million in operational funding from the COVID-19 Public Health Response Fund toward supporting the Dwyer Peer to Peer Program and PTSD Treatment and research. Additionally, the Conference is calling to use capital funding from the State and Municipal Facilities (SAM) Program to support veterans’ housing and services.

“Our veterans have put their lives on the line to protect our freedoms and families. We cannot put support services for them on the backburners. They have selflessly served our country, the very least we should be doing is support critical services to help them navigate civilian life and ensure they have a place to call home. Veteran support must be a priority in this year’s final budget,” said Jensen.
