“The news of a second bomb threat against Hilton CSD and the community is concerning and shocking. I commend the district for prioritizing the safety and security of its students and staff and thank the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and local law enforcement officials for protecting our community.

“It's my hope that federal and state law enforcement agencies continue to investigate these threats and ensure that whoever is behind these horrendous threats is held accountable and brought to justice.

“It is clear, with two threats in three days, someone is attempting to intimidate our community by threatening to blow up schools. This cannot stand or continue to happen; students should not be silenced, marginalized, or threatened by mass violence; they must receive the respect and dignity they deserve.”
