Jensen Hosts Successful Third Annual Health and Wellness Fair
Assemblyman Josh Jensen (R,C-Greece) successfully hosted his third annual Health and Wellness Fair this past Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Greece Ridge Mall alongside Rochester Regional Health and the University of Rochester Medical Center, bringing together residents, health care providers and wellness experts for a day of health education, screenings and community-building. The event, now a staple in the community, attracted hundreds of people, offering them free access to vital health services and resources.
This year’s Health and Wellness Fair featured a variety of services, including several different kinds of free health screenings. People also had the opportunity to consult with health care professionals on-site, receive flu shots and learn about mental health, nutrition, fitness and preventative care.
“I am beyond thrilled to see the growing turnout and engagement from our community each year at my Health and Wellness Fair,” said Jensen. “This event is about ensuring that our residents have the resources they need to live healthier lives. Access to quality health care and wellness education should be available to everyone, and this fair is a step toward making that a reality.”
“As we continue to face the challenges of rising health care costs and access disparities, it is important to me to bring these resources directly to the people. Thank you to all the organizations in attendance that contributed to the success of this event. I am already looking forward to next year’s fair.”
