“Last week, I joined my Minority colleagues on the Health, Aging and Oversight committees in calling on members of the Assembly to hold hearings for the state Department of Health to provide all data on nursing home deaths, as well as all communications from the DOH and other parties that led to the decision to craft, implement, and override its March 25th directive and the decision to withhold this data from the Legislature and public for so many months.

“After last night’s shocking New York Post article, it is clear that we need an independent investigation. This is not about politics, but rather about getting answers for the families who lost loved ones from COVID. This is the time for openness and honesty. It’s the very least our leaders can do."
