New York Conference of Italian American State Legislators Accepting Scholarship Applications
The New York Conference of Italian American State Legislators is now accepting applications for four $3,000 scholarships! Scholarships are available to applicants who are current college students or high school seniors entering college.
Students can access and complete the application by visiting https://www.nyiacsl.org/apply-for-scholarship-form. The application deadline is Friday, March 15th.
With college costs continually rising, this is a chance to lessen the financial burden that is a concern for so many young people and their families. Please apply if you are interested!
HIA-LI Annual Scholarship Award Applications Are Now Open!
If your child is graduating in June of 2023 and is headed to a college on Long Island in the fall, consider applying for the HIA-LI Annual Scholarship Award for children of employees at HIA-LI companies. All children of HIA-LI Members’ Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of $1,000 in scholarship funds. The deadline is May 19th, so please apply today!

Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America Perry Como Lodge Annual Scholarship

John Dabbene Italian Heritage Essay Contest
The Sons and Daughter of Italy in America sponsor the content, which is for 7th and 8th grade student as well as high school seniors. All essays must be postmarked no later than May 1, 2022. FOSSI Partners Scholarship
FOSSI partners, including the American Chemistry Council (ACC), have an ambitious first year goal of underwriting 150 STEM Scholars at an investment of $7.2 million. Supporters have raised $4.6 million as of December 2020 with additional multi-year pledges of more than $10 million towards the scholarships.
The letter provides background information as well as information on how students can apply for the scholarships. Please note that the deadline is February 15, 2021.

New York State AFL-CIO Social Justice Task Force
As part of our commitment to fostering equity in our movement and ensuring our leadership reflects its membership, the New York State AFL-CIO Social Justice Task Force has proposed, and the Executive Council has approved, providing Union L.E.A.D. (Leadership Equity and Development) scholarships for prospective union leaders to the Cornell Union Leadership Institute.

Hundreds of prospective leaders from local unions throughout the state have gone through the program with many progressing to leadership positions within their unions. In order for New York to remain union strong, we need our next generation of leaders, diverse in background and experience, to step forward. Are you ready for the challenge?
Any card-carrying union member is able to apply. Recipients will be selected by ULI staff based on essays submitted by a pool of scholarship applicants.
