“Last night we learned that the top aide to Gov. Cuomo admitted in a two-hour meeting with Majority officials that the state hid COVID-19 data regarding nursing homes from the Legislature to avoid federal scrutiny. Lies from the governor’s office just keep pouring in. Both the attorney general and the governor’s top aide, Melissa DeRosa, have now provided indisputable evidence of an attempted cover-up. My colleagues and I have been calling for a federal investigation into the governor and his actions since August. This situation clearly seems to be one that warrants a full-scale investigation from the U.S Department of Justice.”
