Summer 2022: Supporting Our Local Fairs

Legislative Column by Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush (R,C,I-Black River)

As we enter the ‘dog days’ of summer, I encourage everyone in the North Country and Mohawk Valley to support their local fairs. Every summer, these fairs pop up in our communities and provide countless services and activities for residents. For two years, the pandemic forced our fairs to shut down. This is even more reason for us to attend this year and financially support the many locals who have stands on site.

Take a look at this year’s fair schedule within the 117th Assembly District:

  • 205th Jefferson County Fair, July 12th-17th
  • 201st Lewis County Fair, July 19th-23rd
  • 134th Boonville Oneida County Fair, July 26th- 31st
  • Gouverneur & St. Lawrence County Fair, August 2nd- 7th

Gather with family and friends this year to enjoy the rides, some candy apples and local agricultural products at our historical county fairs.
