Blankenbush Speaks At ReCharge NY Event
Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush (R,C,I-Black River) recently spoke at an event held at Harden Furniture, a company that has reaped the benefits of the ReCharge NY program. ReCharge NY, a program which Blankenbush helped to enact, provides low-cost energy to companies for the promise of job growth or retention.
“The results of ReCharge NY can be seen right here in the 252 jobs at Harden Furniture. It is clearly a great success,” said Blankenbush. “It’s important that we work cooperatively with local employers to create and keep jobs here in upstate New York. I am proud to see this program continue to have a positive impact on our region, and I look forward to the continued revival of our upstate economy.”
Harden Furniture is a 170-year-old, fifth-generation, family-owned business. It is the oldest furniture manufacturer in the nation. In addition to Harden Furniture, ReCharge NY assisted 60 local businesses in creating and retaining nearly 14,000 jobs.
