Now that the weather is improving each week, I'm looking forward to my planned "Route 26 Tour." Over the next few weeks, I'll be traveling through my Assembly District and visiting with local residents, elected officials, farmers and small-business owners.
I'm kicking off my trip in Oneida County making my way up Route 26 and ending up in St. Lawrence County. On each part of the trip, I'll visit places where you can easily stop by, pull up a chair and join the conversation.
Here's the public portion of my tour schedule:
ONEIDA COUNTY
May 15
100 Station Road, Westmoreland
4825 State Route 233, Westmoreland
LEWIS COUNTY
May 16
7405 S. State Street, Lowville
JEFFERSON COUNTY
May 23
36481 NYS Route 26, Carthage
ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY
May 23
413 E Main Street, Gouverneur
In between these informal meetings with residents like you, I'll be taking farm and factory tours, including D and D Racing, Barkeater's Brewery, Adirondack Toboggan Brewery and other businesses. I look forward to learning from each of you and our local job creators to craft solutions that will work for Upstate New York.
All along Route 26 in the Mohawk Valley and the North Country, there are many great things to explore, wonderful people to meet, and I'm here to ensure that our area remains a great place to live, work and play. Keep an eye out, we'll be sending you more information with further details about the tour and what I learn from it.
