Blankenbush Pleased to See Women’s Equality Agenda Signed into Law
Statement from Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush (R,C,I-Black River)
October 21, 2015
“It’s been a long time coming, but I am pleased to see the Women’s Equality Agenda signed into law. Women account for more than half the population of this state, yet, for years, the laws have not protected them equally. Through a bipartisan effort, we passed tougher human trafficking laws, domestic violence protection laws, and measures to make the work environment fair and free of harassment for women. Our state is the birthplace of the Women’s Rights Movement, and with these laws in place, the state will be able to continue its legacy as a leader on women’s issues.”
