“Over 250 members of law enforcement and elected officials attended a rally in Albany today calling for the full repeal of bail reform. How many more innocent lives are we going to put on the line? We cannot continue to be “patient,” as many officials across the aisle suggest, when each day we see yet another headline of a criminal being released back into our neighborhoods,” said Blankenbush. “I have sponsored a bill that would repeal this dangerous legislation (A.8855). We need a fresh start to create new criminal justice reforms that consider public safety.”
