The Office of Assemblymember Marcela Mitaynes participated in the 6th Annual Sunset Park Puerto Rican Parade and Festival hosted by El Grito. We honored our loved ones lost due to COVID-19, Hurricane Maria, and those who fought — and continue to struggle — for the liberation of Puerto Rico. As our community continues to collectively heal from the trauma of the pandemic and our neighborhood’s recent events, we have each other to celebrate and love as we continue to fight together in our shared struggle for a better world.
