The two priorities of our state must be public health and economic health; however, without jobs the state of our state will remain dire. What the governor needs to do is get, or allow people to get, back to work immediately and safely. The state must also make broadband internet available everywhere and affordable to all in order to help people work remotely, facilitate e-commerce and simply go about the daily needs of their business. Today’s speech outlined some proposals, but we need action. New Yorkers have been waiting for months, many since last March. Every day more and more constituents call my office seeking help with unemployment and the potential closure of their business. Governor, we need action now.
