Walsh Collects Over 10,000 Pounds of Electronics at First Spring Cleaning Event
Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C-Ballston) hosted the first of three e-recycling events this past Saturday, May 14 at Milton Town Hall. Over 10,000 pounds of electronics were collected and EWASTE+ will begin to process the items for their next life.
Walsh is reminding residents of the next e-recycling events this coming Saturday, May 21 at the Halfmoon Town Hall parking lot (Drug Take-back Event) and the Halfmoon Senior Center parking lot (Shredding Event). Both events will be happening from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“Thank you to EWASTE+, Supervisor Ostrander and all the residents who made Saturday such a successful event,” said Walsh. “Repurposing these old electronics is both good for the environment and good for clearing space in everyone’s garage as we enter the spring and summer months. I look forward to seeing more of you this Saturday as spring cleaning continues!”
