Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C-Ballston) presented Library Director Alexandra Gutelius and members of the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library Board of Trustees with a $25,000 check in state funding. The funds will be put toward improvements to the Children’s Library, which is located on the second floor.

“Libraries serve such a valuable purpose in our communities, and it is an absolute honor to be able to allocate state funding to the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library this year,” said Walsh. “So often we think of the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library as being the ‘new’ library, and while it certainly is a beautiful space, the reality is that funding is necessary to keep it the state-of-the-art facility that we know and love.

“I look forward to seeing what types of improvements are made to the very active and often busy Children’s Library and, as always, look forward to so many great things that the library has to offer to residents throughout the year.”
