Walsh Celebrates Morris Ford’s Inclusion on The Historic Business Preservation Registry
Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C-Ballston) presented a New York State Assembly proclamation to Morris Ford today, celebrating its induction into the New York State Historic Business Preservation Registry, following her nomination. Members of the Morris family were present to receive the honor. Morris Ford is one of 10 businesses Walsh is permitted to nominate for induction each legislative term. Walsh has recognized several local businesses and organizations, including the Ballston Spa National Bank and Bowman Orchards, both of which she recently nominated for this prestigious distinction.
The New York State Historic Business Preservation Registry program is administered by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation and highlights businesses that have been in operation for at least 50 years and have contributed to their community’s history.
“Morris Ford has been a cornerstone of the Burnt Hills and greater Capital Region communities for more than five decades,” said Walsh. “To not only stay in business that long but remain a family-owned operation is a remarkable achievement. Their dedication to giving back and consistently going above and beyond for the community is truly something to celebrate. In an era when trust is increasingly hard to come by, Morris Ford’s reputation as a trusted name is something we can all admire.”
“I’m proud to celebrate this milestone with Charlie Morris, Terri Jo Kislowski and the entire Morris Ford family, and I wish them continued success in their future endeavors,” Walsh concluded.
